WHY WE ARE PRAYING & FASTING
There are assignments God has given His Church that cannot be accomplished through human strength, financial resources, organizational excellence, or strategic planning alone. The Great Commission is one of them.
Jesus commanded His disciples to go into all the world and preach the gospel, but He also instructed them to wait until they were clothed with power from on high (Luke 24:49). The mission was clear, but the resources necessary to fulfill it would come from God.
During these five days, we are gathering to seek the Lord for two essential breakthroughs: supernatural provision for the work of missions and outreach, and a fresh demonstration of the Holy Spirit’s power for effective ministry.
We are not rejecting responsible planning, faithful stewardship, or human participation. Rather, we are acknowledging that these things, however necessary, are insufficient without God’s intervention.
We are asking the Lord to remove obstacles, expose spiritual resistance, release provision, open doors, and empower His people to proclaim and demonstrate the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our prayers are not an attempt to persuade a reluctant God to participate in His own mission. We are coming into agreement with the heart of the Father, the intercession of Jesus, and the activity of the Holy Spirit.
OUR FIVE DAILY EMPHASES
Monday — The Spirit of Intercession: Standing Before God for the Nations
Tuesday — Removing the Resistance: Grace, Cleansing, and Spiritual Breakthrough
Wednesday — Supernatural Provision: Depending on the Resources of Heaven
Thursday — Clothed with Power: The Holy Spirit and Effective Ministry
Friday — Open Doors and Sent People: Breakthrough for the Harvest
